Here are my latest pics. This is taken from a photo i took on vacation in (Cornwall in the UK). Here we have a small dock patrol. if you look closely you might see the spray of the trooper walking. That wasn't as hard as making the TrooperZoids the right scale to fit with the people on the dock in the original photo. The scale isn't perfect but you get the idea. You can see the gold pilot in the wee weepit clearly... (I guess i should have used a darker pilot, D'oh). Ah well ... enjoy. ;D This is ZoidZilla from Zoids2 in San Fran, taken from a frame of the 'Hulk' movie. I like the tail splash behind Big Z

Dude, these never cease to amaze me.
You know what would be amazing. If you ever had the time, would you do pictures of each persons signature custom, and blend it into the backround? IF you did a huge picture, you could put it as the banner for this site! Just an idea I had, but I can very easily help. I've become comfortable with Photoshop, so any thing you need help with, I'm gladly available. What do you say?

IF you did a huge picture, you could put it as the banner for this site! You are most kind. I really did think about that idea but sadly due to family health problems i just haven't got the time right now (most likely for some time to come too, which is why i haven't created anything lately). Please feel free to do a pic of any kind in this style. I certainly don't have any kind of rights over this type of pic, i'd love to see more people try it. I'd be honoured to think i might have inspired a LU title banner I do most of my stuff from instinct rather than skill, i don't know much about the technical side of things (There's got to be an easier way than the way i stumble through !!!! LOL). I click buttons and see what happens.... Jeez, you should see the out takes... i only show the stuff that works out... which is why it takes so gogahdagon long ! LOL

As promised here is another Trooperzoid in the sea type pic. I'm pleased with this pic for a few reasons. The slight colouration of the water from the weapons, the lights on the back mounted weapon catching the spine fins, and the slight graining of the original zoid pic fits very well with the back drop picture (which is a small boat leaving harbour). It kinda looks like he's turned suddenly. I hope you like it. Many of these pics can be seen on Phenotype's amazing Zoid site but they'll be shown here first.

Another New pic. A Redhorn pic taken in my bedroom and a local park pic i took this summer.... Hey presto !!! Redhorn out for a stroll. I realise the trees are out of scale. As with many of my pics, it's more about the ethos than the reality. I think the pic works quite well but i know it's not perfect by any means. Any comments are welcome...

This pic came from a frame of Lord Of The Rings (third movie). I had an idea for an epic frame of troops on a hill supported by a single Kong, a blaze lighting the way whilst the sun rises behind them... I had a really hard time working the kongs shadow. i made it longer and wider and all shapes and shades... i got i t down to one i liked, got an objective opinion and here it is. On that subject (the shadow and objective opinion), a big thank you to Vig from the Phenotype forum for Aussie honesty on this picture. Any comments are welcome as usual. Obviously i used it on my signature in a LOTR style.

It's the highest compliment to know that you've inspired someone to do things. Thank you Grimm !
I have 4 pics in the works, that'll usually mean i'll get 1 showable shot... Sadly it's a hit an miss process and i don't have masses of time. I will keep showing as long as people still want to see them.

An alternate Bio Beach pic. This time frm the front of the Bi and a little heavier on the contrast (it just looks more natural than the untreated version i did). It kinda looks like a newspaper photo to me. Any Comments Welcome... V155

Greetings, here we are in 2007... hover cars and phasers are just around the corner for every household and blue hair cuts with silver jump suits for all (that's what we all thought would happen in the early 80's when Zoids first came out) Here are 2 new pics. The first is from this pic of the Deadly Kong i found on line. I think it's from the box art (If it is someones photo please let me know and i will happily remove the image if it pleases the owner) I cut it, darkened, tinted, and put in a firery pic from a Forest fire in a far off land. I lit the eyes and forehead lamp, then added a wrist light. This is 'Kong Ramage'. THE FARM IS UNDER ATTACK ! GET TO THE TIGER-LIGER !!! I found an old re colour of a S-Liger. I named it (because of it's stripes) Tiger Liger (i can hear boos and hisses (justified, it's a terrible name)). I found a nice action shot and got a nice blend (not perfect). Any Comments welcome as usual... V184

Here is a continuation pic of the farm attack. A Great Gorgon is responsible, after doing some damage he moves out towards the lake. Any Comments welcome...

Flogging the Gorgon cut out again... Gorgon plods up from the sea to take in the beach. Technically not much to do here. The light match was good to start with, i trimmed the feet and added a small spray to intergrate them into the water. Nice and surprisingly simple. Any comments welcome... V311

LOL ! i didn't realise how much water i did use in my pics.
I started out using still pics from movies like Star Wars and Lord of the Rings etc. As i went on i started using my own photos as backgrounds. These are mostly vacation photos (mostly Cornwall in the UK) so there are mostly Water or sea based pics...
I'm getting better at shadows but it takes me time to get right. I did use reflections on a few but i took the out in the end (Yellow Ptera racing over the water pic still has reflections). The reason was that it looked like a computer reflection effect. I just couldn't make it look real enough.
I haven't written it off as an effect but i've only made it look 'real' once or twice. I'll keep trying..
Thanks for the comment !

This pic just came together so nicely. I was playing about with ideas and before i knew it i had a finished picture. More water i'm afraid, but also a reflection shot. The smoke and blast i drew by hand and the Liger reflection didn't give me too much trouble, still water in the pic so i only added a slight distortion of the image. The main Liger image was fogged to create the illusion of distance. I sharpened the whole image and then reduced it to 600x450 to fit the page here. I'm very happy with this pic... and that is my son too (he was 3 at the time the pic was taken). Comments are always welcome... Thank you for viewing. V340

Hello, Sorry for the long break away. Family health problems and a strong creative dolrum coupled with learnng a new camera and little time have kept me away. Here are a few pics i made recently... This pic was taken from a trip to Cornwall (in the UK) a month or so ago. It's a 150ft(ish) high cliff taken from the beach. I had an Iron Kong pic taken from last year that i remembered and with luck they matched up. This pic was more of a challenge. It was a poor quality pic of an amazing sunset. The pic didn't capture the sunset well at all but i took the task of trying to fit a pic of a zoid to it. It's still not a good pic of a sunset but now it's got an IK in it. My favourite of the three here. This is a snowy pic taken from the internet of a snowy trail through some trees. I took a few pics of my Zoids2 Ultrasuarus in the sunshine and began to play. I think it looks good. It's a nice wallpaper at 1024x768 too. I hope you enjoy these. The law of averages suggests that the more of these i do the greater the chances of making a truly great pic. I live in hope. V549

I recently fell on hard times and had to sell my Liger Zero. I now have a ProtoZoid.... it's not flashy or fast but it is cheaper to run! But it is a one seater... In this pic my family and I were at a local park and you can see my wife and son below shouting to me "It's my turn, i'm tired!" ;D This pic was really taken at a local park... i can't remember why my wife is looking up... or why my son isn't interesed in whatever it was... The pic was begging for a zoid in it so i found a Protozoid image and here's the result. V560
